The VideoMic Pro has superior electronics and condenser element that delivers greater sound quality than any camera or recorder. The mic has a superior response over the previous iteration with a range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz which you can easily attach the mic to any camera with the 3.5mm TRS jack. This jack is configured in a dual mono setting, ensuring that the signals sent from the mic to your camera are identical.

Battery life on the Rode VideoMic Pro Plus is superior, as the built-in battery lasts 100 hours on a single charge. This is more than enough for most intensive workflows. Some useful features on the VideoMic Pro Plus include an automatic on/off function to help save battery. The mic automatically turns on or off when it detects a gain or loss in plug-in power from the camera. So whether you shut down the camera or detach the device, the mic will turn off. The mic has a conveniently placed main status LED that has red blue and green colors to indicate the power source, the current charge status, and the time left in usage. There are further LEDs for the high pass filter, safety channel, gain settings, and frequency boosts.
