7Artisans Camera Lenses

In 2015, a group of passionate Chinese camera enthusiasts gathered over dinner to share their love for photography. Their discussions led to an exciting idea—creating high-quality camera lenses. Some members focused on optical design, while others specialized in manufacturing. Among them was an avid Leica lens collector. This collaboration sparked the beginning of the 7Artisans project. By September 2016, the team had produced 100 samples of their first 50mm f/1.1 lens. Despite challenges, only seven members remained by the project’s end, hence the name “7Artisans”—representing seven craftsmen.

Today, 7-Artisans offers 12 different lens models for mirrorless cameras from brands like Sony, Fujifilm, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Olympus, and Leica. These lenses are known for their affordability without compromising on quality, making them a fantastic choice for photographers of all levels.
