Micro photography can be with Micro extension tubes which are long spherical hollow tubes that sit between the lens and the camera. They are used to get a much closer view of the object with much more clarity.

A microlens can be expensive to buy. This is where the extension tube comes in handy. We can get the tube is much less costly and it does almost the same work as that of a microlens. As with the tube, the longer the focal length, the greater the working distance you can achieve. The extension tube is used to increase the distance between the lens and the sensor. This allows the lens to focus closer and also increases magnification. Hence, we can use any lens behind the extension and get the best-magnified photos that we want.

There is only one disadvantage to this usage of the extension tubes. It requires more lighting therefore, we either have to lower the aperture, increase the ISO, or add more light directed to the object for this micro photography.
