Sony e mount lenses are designed for Sony to have the experience of every kind of lens on even a small body. Also, are mainly designed for photographing still images. It reduces motor noise, abrupt zoom, unwanted focusing while shooting video. The main reason for building these lenses was that Sony wanted its user to have a good experience while using their small camera bodies. This allows the user to attach any kind of lens to its camera. Many A-mount lenses are also compatible with this type.
Sony wanted to make its cameras compatible with the lens with a 35mm body and hence came the idea of an E-mount lens. Now the consumer can buy their E-mounts from the market easily. The E-mount is a lens mount designed by Sony for their NEX (“New E-mount experience”) and ILCE series of camcorders and mirrorless cameras.
