The Rode NT1 is an audio engineer’s answer to the perfect audio recording device for places where there is no room for compromise. Crafted with premium materials, the NT1 is the kind of mic used in professional music production. While the body does look similar to the Rode NT1-A, both mics are completely different on the inside. The mic has a large 1-inch diaphragm with a gold plated membrane at its heart. The design of the mic is based on a cardioid polar pattern, this gives detailed sound with crystal clear mids and highs. The HF6 capsule is suspended inside the mic with an internal Rycote lyre shock mount. This reduces any vibrations or noise that seeps inside the mic. The NT1 is a very quiet and stable mic with self-noise measuring at only 4.5 dBA. Inside the box, you also get an SMR shock mount.
